Purchased LG 42" LED 3D TV with good saving. Product arrived quickly enough but despatch information was not recorded on account information so TV actually arrived before it was sent. Confusing if you are trying to plan a day to accept delivery. These guys also use City Link to deliver so all you get from the carrier is a Text " will arrive inbetween 7.30 am and 5.00 pm. This is really a very old hat system these days when the other carriers txt you with an ETA of within an hour slot.
The most concerning aspect of my purchase was that a Generic LG scart adapter was not in the box.This meant that I could not connect up the TV to my Sky box.I also could not buy one from my local dealer, as it was a generic part. Mistakes happen on re-packed items I understand, but when I phoned 123av to ask for the missing part, the female operator tried to convince me the missing TV part was not included, and that if the TV was working that was the end of their responsibilty. I asked to speak to her line manager, who understood the situation, checked the manual and said he would get one sent from LG. So unnecessary grief from the first customer service contact point. It then took a week before the LG part was received, so no Sky for a week.
The TV itself is working fine and was received in good condition, inspite of arriving in a box that was covered in re-packing tape and broken internal polystyrene, which made it look like it had been back a few times.
In my opinion all of the above is fine tuning for a business which is offering a clear benefit to the consumer. Just all needs a bit more attention to detail.
