I ordered a Uvex X Ride Motion ski Helmet a week before my ski holiday to Austria (16th March). I took collection of the helmet the day before flying out and found the slide control for the vent to be very loose. When I contacted the company to explain this I was told, "Yes they are quite loose on that model."
I had no time to exchange it prior to travel.
Upon arrival in Austria I took the helmet to a local Uvex retailer who confirmed it was faulty and should be returned. I therefore couldn't wear it and hired a helmet for the week. Upon coming home I returned my unworn purchase, complete with labels to OutdoorGB as they'd told me there were no more available.
Today I telephoned the company enquiring about my refund and was told that the helmet was away for testing. I mentioned about a possible exchange but was again told there are no more available in my size.
Just searched their website and there they are available to order !!!
I'll be ordering a replacement but, not from OutdoorGB.
You'd think that in the spirit of 'customer relations' a retailer would at least have offered to reimburse me the cost of my helmet hire and try to put right the issue.........No chance !!
