WAE+

Don't let the low prices suck you in - unless you are VERY patient!

This is the same site as www.waeplus.co.uk (which seems to have disappeared from Trustpilot) so I'm putting my review back where people can see it...

Top line summary - by the time you get the stuff you ordered, the prices at other retailers will be as low as the ones that WAE+ is offering.

This has to be the WORST company I have ever dealt with in the 25 years or so that I have been building PCs. I ordered 5 items and only two were delivered without some sort of problem.

Their customer service forms don't work. One in three messages get answered, the rest just seem to disappear into nothingness.
They cannot process change requests on orders that are scheduled for delivery 10 days in the future (even if you want to spend more on a superior item).
The phones go through to overseas call centres attended by people who barely speak English.
The lead times are terrible. I wasn't in a hurry so I thought this was fine but they still haven't delivered 2 of the items and we are days past the promise date.
They try to send inferior items hoping you won't notice (a budget version of an Asus motherboard in my case)
When they part-ship an order, there is no indication which items are shipped and which are delayed. You have to wait until you get the delivery to find out which item is delayed. It's like Christmas all over again but in a bad way.

Many of the other reviews slate the company for not delivering the items the next day. In defence of WAE+, they do not promise fast delivery, only low prices. In fact, the order I placed on 3rd April was promised this week (15-17th April). Yes, this is terribly slow in these days of free next day deliveries but they were completely open about the long wait whenever I went to my order status. What IS unforgivable is that they raised a UPS label and added it to the order on the 16th to make me THINK that they had shipped it when they didn't ACTUALLY ship the item until the 17th (the day it was due to be delivered). Even then, they were 1 item short (I'm still waiting for this).

In the two and a half weeks it has taken (so far - still waiting on 2 items) to get the goods, I have seen other retailers' prices drop. In most cases, I could have ordered items for a couple of quid more and I would have already received them.

It is highly unlikely I will be a regular customer at this store after this experience. I might use them for non-urgent items if there is a HUGE price difference but the apparent savings are more than swallowed by the aggravation they give you as a result of practically zero Customer Service. It's a shame that they are so disorganised, I was hoping for a new default supplier but alas, they need to clean up their act before I can commit...

Interparcel

Great for eBay Sellers

I used to ship all of my online auction items using the shipping feature built into the payment method of the auction site (Royal Mail or ParcelForce being only options) because it was convenient and the prices were the same as they would be if I took it to the Post Office.

In March, one of my eBay buyers suggested I should try Interparcel. I was dubious at first because they offer ParcelForce prices that are lower than the Post Office site or the auction site. They also offer other services from other couriers (such as Hermes, Collect+ and UPS). That said, I decided to give them a go.

Out of the various options, the Interparcel Standard service offers the best value for money in most cases and they will collect from where I work (Bonus = no more trips to the Post Office). This service is just under £10 for up to 15kg which beats Royal Mail hands down. On top of this, the service is provided by UPS and most parcels are delivered the next day!

Even before the recent Royal Mail price hike, Interparcel was MUCH cheaper than Royal Mail/ParcelForce for heavy or bulky packages. Since the hike, it's a no-brainer. I have used InterParcel about 5 times now and it has made life a lot easier and cheaper. Every parcel has so far arrived the day after it was collected - each one for under £10. For me, choosing how to ship something is now as simple as:

Letters & Small Parcels = Royal Mail
Medium Parcels over ~2kg = Interparcel

Same as Interparcel.com

They try to send inferior items hoping you won't notice (a budget version of an Asus motherboard in my case). When this is raised with them, they are very quick to process the return but you have to wait OVER A WEEK to get the correct item delivered.

When they part-ship an order, there is no indication which items are shipped and which are delayed. You have to wait until you get the delivery to find out which item is delayed. It's like Christmas all over again but in a bad way.

I will NEVER use this company again. The 'savings' are irrelevant if they never deliver the goods or wait until their prices are higher before delivering!!!!

Unfortunately, TrustPilot will not allow me to give them zero stars.
