I feel compelled to leave a review regarding the service that i received from just eat, this evening. I ordered an Indian takeaway using their service order number 41108241. It arrived and it was abysmal, pretty bleak inedible food. The food went to waste as it was so unpleasant we couldn't eat it!. I immediately got onto the live chat with just eat customer service agent 'Stevie!' I thought as their customer i would explain the situation and see if there was anything they could do, i explained that i ordered the food with the expectation of receiving 4 and a half star food based on the star rating the website so clearly said the takeaway had. I advised them that i was unable to eat any of the food and i was really dis-satisfied with service, and on further looking at the reviews noticed most of the reviews also stated they were disatisfied with the service and yet somehow the star rating remained high! it took forever to get a answer and when i did it was the stock answer "Please bear with me a few moments while I look into this for you." a few moments turned into half an hour. i was advised that the takeaway had refused to offer a refund but a free meal next time i order, which im not likely to do. Stevie quite helpfully pointed out I" do understand Jenna, It is very frustrating however if the takeaway are not willing to give you a refund, I am afraid I cannot do so without there permission.
In our terms and conditions it states.
3.3 In the event that you have a complaint about the quality of food or service provided by the restaurants on this Website then any compensation should be sought directly from the restaurant. JUST EAT is not able to provide refunds on behalf of the restaurants and is not liable for any such refunds sought. All complaints must be lodged initially with the restaurant and, where appropriate, the restaurant’s own complaint procedures followed before JUST EAT is able to respond to a complaint. "
Which is great, what was the point in using your service. i should had just gone straight to the takeaway rather that using your company who im sure gets a cut of the money i paid to the takeaway. why offer customer service at all if as pointed out above i was never your customer. im really upset, i wasted money and time. Rubbish takeaway Rubbish Service!!! Stevie pointed out i should just complain directly to the takeaway which is great if i could get through!!! Just eat... just dont bother.
