You will see more positive reviews that negative, this is because Chess invite good customers to post a review, on the other hand it takes some time to post a negative one, but it is worth it to warn potential customers of the pitfalls in dealing with this Company.
Having dealt with Chess since 2005, we had never signed a contract, we agreed over the phone to a 12 month 'agreement' , we have tried to come out of that 'rolling contract, we were never told that is was a rolling contract, and that were are tied in, if you want to cancel then cancellation notice must be received no less than 30 days prior to contract end date and no greater than 60 days prior to the end date or any subsequent period as appropriate !! We were told that this was up in Dec, but they would keep it running on a month by month basis until we made our mind up.
Although the savings we were making were huge, and therefore would not give Chess the opportunity to requote even though we have been under pressure from salesmen, the way we have been treated does not warrant any more business with Chess.
We have tried to come out of this contract, and we have been told that we must pay over £5000 !
We have bought a new phone system, and changing provider and still saving money. OFCOM have abolished rollover contracts for small businesses (under 10 employees) we have 16. Although I have not had any call or quality issues, I would never recommend this company, be very wary............
