Following up on my previous review.
Im afraid I have to report that Ibood still wont enter into any correspondence with me (or even answer any queries sent to their customer "service" dept).
Facts are that they offered a Nextbook Premium 8hi - they supplied a Nextbook Trendy 8 which has inferior specs (such as screen).
This is fraud. They wont discuss it. They also delete any references to poor service etc from their "forums".
You take your life in your hands when it comes to ibood.
lets leave aside the ludicrous amount they charge for p&p..
let's leave aside that often their "best offer daily" quite often is beaten elsewhere.
IBOOD have no concept of customer service. The only way to reach them is via a "contact form" that can only be used once and never gets replied to.
forget taking cash for orders and not delivering anything (cancelled their "offer" but very slow in returning cash taken)
Now they are supplying product not as offered (FRAUD)
Oh yes, a different product that also doesn't work. They won't reply regarding returns and refunds eiither.
In short, AVOID IBOOD IT'S A SCAM.
Whilst I can accept that, at certain times, a customer services telephone number may be busy (lunchtimes etc) one would have thought that it was possible to get through at other times. Not if you are phoning Worldstores it seems.
Ive been trying to speak to the CS people to arrange for a return of some lights (unacceptable quality in terms of finish) but every time I try and phone (at non peak times) its the usual 20 minute plus wait on hold "for the next available member" etc. All the time running up phone bills. Even worse, Im doing this whilst at work... On the third occassion today (rung three times today that is), I actually just kept on the line. 31 minutes and then "Sorry, we do not want to keep you waiting please call again". Arghhhh !!!
Why is it that a company cant have enough people in their CS operation to deal with phone calls. It is obviously a very common problem with Worldstores (looking at other reviews). With so many people looknig for work, surely it cant be that hard to hire a few more people?
Now, I wonder if the return and refund will be painless (if they ever respond to the email via their site on their forms that is). Does anyone want to start a sweepstake on when I will get a reply??
I received an email from Prachi (is she the only CS person at the company?) and she dealt with the problem quickly. The items are being picked up today so should hopefully receive full refund in the next few days. Have to say that Prachi was very helpful and apologetic for the poor service. What a shame that the company wont employ more people to try and improve the CS experience for customers. Prachi seems wasted on Worldstores. Have improved rating to 2 stars.
Well, what a surprise. The items were supposed to be picked up by the courier yesterday. Parcel all waiting. No pick up. Parachi advised this mornign (following an email) that the company said they left a card (since we werent in). Lies. Unbeknownst to the courier company, my wife was there for all day bar the school run and besides we had workmen there all day till 6.30. No phone calls to me, my wife or home number and if they had knocked (when the door was shut) then the dog woudl have barked the house down.
Ho Hum. Back to 1 star.
