The HostelBookers deposit is supposed to come out of the total price of the hostel, but it didn't and I was charged the full amount plus the deposit. I didn't realise this until well after trip when going over receipts. I'm sure if I had realised this and said it to the hostel at the time of booking it could have been dealt with, but in this day and age I don't see why the system can't be set up so that it is deducted AUTOMATICALLY.
