Placed an order for delivery to store on available date showing on web-site. Due date came and went and no communication from Hotel Chocolat,. I phoned them - they informed me that although the item was showing as in stock at the time of ordering, that they did not actually have stock. Poor service as they did not let me know, although they did take payment. Also an expensive 0844 call to follow up as they won't put you through to customer services from their landline number.
There were 2 problems with my order - (1) paid for next day delivery but did not happen. (2) one out of 4 items paid for was not sent, although packing slip stated that 4 had been sent. I phoned the company a few minutes after my order arrived. I was able to speak to someone there, only waiting a minute or so. They checked my order and confirmed that one item had been missed from the package and I was told that it would be sent. Within about half an hour of phoning, I received an email to let me know that the item had been despatched. Also, I was refunded the next day delivery cost. I feel that Beauty Bay have given very good customer service to resolve the problems and I would order from them again as they put the problems right very quickly.
Placed order - item was shoiwng as in stock. Item was despathed 13 days later after calling them. I found their customer service representative rather arrogant when i chassed them up. I would not order from this company again as there are other suppliers who offer better service.
