not very clear about ' recessed ' fit, and standard delivery not cheap!

After paying £8 for standard delivery, I finally received the anti-slip flooring strips I ordered. However, I was slightly dismayed to find that they were not as I perceived the strips to be! I had ordered them to put on decking steps, so that my mother-in-law would be safer when using steps during wet/icy weather, and was initially impressed that the product was advertised as ' recessed '. The diagram on the website showed this, sort-of, and I unwittingly assumed that the strips would slot into the recessed grooves in the decking, leaving little of the strip protruding above the surface of the decking steps.
The strips do not have any grooves/slots on the underside, and so to achieve the desired result,I now have to recess the decking steps to accept the anti-slip strips!
Description needs to be much clearer please Rawlings!

Mr Frazer,

Thank you for your review and we’re sorry to hear you felt the information was not clear. We currently offer two types of GRP anti-slip products for decking, our ‘Anti-Slip Decking Strips’ are intended to be fitted retrospectively ‘on top’ of the decking and screwed into place – normally used for speed and ease of installation, and our ‘Anti-Slip Infill Decking Strips’ (less popular option) are intended to be fit into rebated timber to negate any trip hazards and produce a more aesthetically pleasing ‘flush’ finish. Since your review we have added a few points to the Anti Slip In-Fil Decking Strips description to emphasise that the customer will have to rebate the timber to fit these, please take a look if you get the time and any comments would be appreciated. Once again apologies for any confusion caused and we hope this resolution will be satisfactory.
