Car hire company dealt with our complaint and got us compensation, problem was with alamo and not florida car hire
booked car online when arrived at airport after long flight was told that car we had booked was smaller and to get bigger car would cost us more money.
When we refused we were then told that as credit card in my name and husband was going to be main driver it would cost us another $200. When we demanded to speak to manager we were then told it was a deposit of $200 which we would get on returning vehicle. We were also told to return vehicle with no fuel as we had paid for this already.
We checked this before returning car and found it had to be returned with full tank or we would be charged.
The car which we were allocated was the one we originally booked and there was infact no smaller vehicles available.
The member of staff who dealt with us was determined to get more money from us and blamed the online booking system and not Alamo
