I was able to pick my delivery day. I waited in all day but the delivery never arrived. I had a tracking number and at 5.10pm it said delivery was attempted but it hadn't been. I contacted the depot right away but all I got was empty apologies. The item I ordered was part of a margarita gift set we were giving as a wedding present. As I was leaving the next day to go to London, where the wedding was, I had to leave without the most important part of the gift - the tequila.
Getting the item is as important as a good website, shopping etc experience - so to wait in all day for the delivery only to have City Link not bothered if they deliver your stuff or not has ruined this shopping experience. Next time I'll go to an off-licence and take my chances.
I also emailed thedrinkshop.com at the same time I contacted City Link but got no reply - so they didn't care about my shopping experience then - why care now?
