I have used Play.com for years (spent a lot too!) and never had prob .... UNTIL this time last year. I placed several orders for Christmas presents (2011). Give them their due all arrived bar two. Both out of stock. One I got an email to apologise and explain they couldnt provide. I was very disappointed as it was so close to Christmas but hey ho. It was the second item that really finished me off!!!
I was told out of stock but would be in before Christmas 2011 ... nope it wasnt then another email to say stock in and be out soon (Feb 2012).... nope it wasnt! They even had a cheek to email me 7 months later to say I had an outstanding order (which stock coming in) did I still want the order fullfilled ... YES Please :) Guess what a year later from original order and I still dont have the item but give them their due least they not charged me for it.
Unfortunately for Play.com ... they have lost all my trust and therefore any future orders. Good news for Amazon and Ebay tho!!!
Excllent service. I was looking for a particular item for my dad. Having looked at the website, had a few questions to ask. Prompt response considering the snow had just hit the country. Superb advice given and taken. Delivery was prompt (though was warned that snow could cause a slight delay), item arrived well packaged and when needed to contact again to ask another question, not treated as an idiot (though the question asked was a bit daft!). I have no hesitation in recommending this company and def use them again.
