I ordered a Canon 6D, a Canon Speedlight 600ex and a 24-70 2.8L II USM from Simply Electronics in the middle of January 2013 over the phone. I had a hard time figuring out where this company was situated (I have shopped online for years and over the years my guards have been lowered since I never had problem ordering from anywhere.. HUGE MISTAKE to order without checking Trust Pilot, when I was in doubt ) but was told over the phone that the products ships from UK. There was excellent service when ordering and paying (of course) But when the products finally shipped ( it took about a week) the Track and Trace said that it shipped Hong Kong. I then realised I had made a huge mistake and tried to cancel the order and shipment without luck. I was told by them to refuse the package on delivery which I did. I knew that was a huge risk, since I then would be without the ordered products AND without money. But I didn't wanted to buy from a company that lies about where they ship from. I didn't feel I could be sure about the authenticity of the product and in case of repairs it would be a long way to ship my stuff.
I have untill today written them up to several times a week to make them pay me back and I get the same answer over and over again to be "rest assured" that every is being handled as fast as possible. I have once been told that I should have received the money already and that they are looking into it.
I now fear I have lost about £3000. I will soon look into finding the ones I read about in here who were looking into make a united police report.
I received my money today ( two days after my TrustPilot review) Even though they have been very polite and "helpful" I still keep my 1 star only. They lied about where they ship from.
Super service. Fik lavet min ordre om flere gange uden problemer. Nogle af de bestilte ting var i restordre, og da jeg kom i tanke om flere ting jeg skulle have med i den ordre, så jeg kunne spare noget porto, fik jeg venlig (mail) hjælp til hvordan jeg skulle gøre det. De svarer hurtigt på emails
Jeg bestilte forskellige vedhæng og noget knytte line. Jeg havde bestilt 1 og 2 meter af det meste knyttebånd, men den ene af dem bestilte jeg en rulle af og det blev desværre misforstået, så jeg også fik 1 meter af det. Men jeg sendte en email og gjorde opmærksom på fejlen og fik med det samme tilsendt den rigtige vare
