Hired a 'Renault Clio or similar' (actually Nissan Micra) for 10 days in Fuerteventura. Key attraction was the cost as the car was only you going to be for driving to the beach and back and maybe a day trip or two. For what was around £15 per day all in + £60 petrol I felt it was exactly what I expected. The car was old, had a few scrapes and dings and was overdue a service. However, it was perfectly safe and entirely reliable for the whole of the 500km or so that we used it for plus it had AC. The pick up and drop off were hassle free and there was no issue with checking the car over for damage - the price included full excess -free CDW and so we took the car and dropped it of in 'as is' condition. Very refreshing as I usually get nervous about getting stung for some kind of damage charge.
I would definitely use rentalcars.com again and have now downloaded their iPhone app.!
I don't usually write reviews but this came up on a google search and, having been a customer for 5+ years, I felt I should support the store. I have bought bass guitars, amps, cabs, keyboards and PA kit over the years.
Not the cheapest (although there is a price match promise) but sometimes they buy in bulk deals with good discounts and usually have some manufacturer promotions running. However, what you get with Andertons is an amazing customer experience - wonderful range, all the new kit, plenty of advice and opportunity to demo equipment until you are ready to buy .... you can spend all day in there with no pressure and as as result most people don't begrudge paying list price for this service. I often pop in with my Son and refine my wish list!
If there is - and sometimes there is - a problem, these guys will do everything they can sort you out. The guys are musicians and work with you to get you where you want to be. I once came across one of the owners on the shop floor giving advice and helping out - on one occasion when I was buying a whole new PA rig he even threw in a discount as I was a genuine customer and not just a browser.
Even though I work in .com land, these guys provide a very good rational to get off the computer and get into store ( even though you can order online or click and collect).
They are to music equipment what John Lewis is to general retailing - buy with confidence and have fun spending your cash.
