Shopto were one of the only online retailers to have a game I wanted in stock. It was packed and ready to ship within about 4 minutes of me pressing confirm purchase - and they even send a picture of your parcel to confirm - and it was with me the very next day as promised.
"Due to unforseen circumstances" they don't appear to be answering their 24/7 phonelines, nor email it seems, as this is the second time I've tried to get through.
I messed up with the date of the reoccuring payments for my hosting. Ended up paying for a year I didn't need.
So here I am again, one year on, and seemingly ANOTHER £60 out of pocket for a service I no longer require.
This happened last time, where it was 100% my fault -- hence I paid my way. Following that blunder, I rang their customer support and asked the lady to close to account the day before it was due to expire to avoid this happening again.
One month before I knew it was due to expire, I even checked my control panel and saw it was all set up to expire as expected. Now I find myself being prompted for payment once more.
They really do have a superb website. Just a couple of minutes to find what I wanted, sign up and pay. Delivery was decent despite the time of year.
They are however BLATENTLY suffering from growing pains. These guys have gone from average to one of the major online retailers. Don't expect instant customer support etc.
