Last Monday I cashed in some shares in my firm's parent company which is based in France.
I was advised on Wednesday that some money was now sitting in my Euro account with a British bank.
I went online to Hi Fx and logged in and checked the exchange rate from euros to British pounds.
I found this to be far better than any other rates offered by the banks. I then printed off the contract note, and went to a branch of my bank where my euro account is held and arranged for a telegraphic transfer to HiFx.
Later that afternoon I received messages and e mails on my iPhone telling me funds had been received in my HiFx account, and that I would receive notification once they had made payment.
On Thursday morning I received the notification that payment had been made. I checked my bank where my sterling account is held, and got confirmation that the money had been paid in by HiFx before 09:00am
