I compared prices online for a number of organic products I wanted to buy & beautybay won that battle. They also had items I hadn't seen elsewhere from the Yes to... range.
I bought enough to qualify for the free slower delivery but everything came quicker than expected & securely packed.
Flawless, if only more online ordering was like this!! I have already recommended you to friends.
Love sites with honest customer reviews too & clear information on ingredients.
My gripe is not with made.com products but with the service around actually receiving the goods.
Part of the reason for the low cost of items is the willingness to wait for made to order goods shipped by sea, all great. This does mean that actual arrival times can be somewhat unpredictable. A text lands to say the goods are arriving imminently & giving you only the following 2 days as alternatives. For anyone with a job taking a precious day of annual leave at that kind of notice is not an option in terms of chucking away a precious day off & logistically most people cannot be absent with that kind of notice.
Leaving with a neighbour is a nice idea but either: most people's neighbours are also working or, sadly, these days many of us don't know our neighbours that well & if we do I like them too much to want to burden them with asking them to be around all day for my convenience & then on the day let them know the delivery window.
I have a secure shed where a parcel has never yet gone missing from but they won't use it, I've asked.
So I don't reply to the notification telling them I can be home in 10 days time because their system can't handle that. I cross my fingers & hope a neighbour will be in.
I have emailed the delivery company website before to outline my options & they haven't even replied...
I have contacted made.com before to outline my problems & they on one occasion kindly offered to contact the company with the maximum advance notice & then contact them again when that expired to push it forward to the next furthest away possible date. Result they turned up the first date as they originally planned...
Whenever I contact made.com about delivery they tell me most people are very happy with it, I assume there are a lot of people working from home or who are home with children or older & no longer working but for anyone else it is a spectacularly unresponsive & unhelpful delivery service in my frequent experience to the extent that it has made me think about just not buying from made.com any more.
Made.com's requests for feedback I have said to them before could do with being specific (state the item it refers to) & closer in time to receipt of the order to be sure I'm feeding back on the right delivery. Their feedback on support requests also make no reference to who you were dealing with - sometimes two or three people are involved in a request & only being able to say satisfied or not satisfied is too simplistic, mostly I'm partially satisfied & different people provided very different levels or service - some are really outstanding & some seem to be sleepwalking through a cut & paste exercise of stock responses.
Made.com, great products & some great support but by no means consistent, delivery service, fine if you can easily arrange not to go out at short notice, otherwise a massive headache.
