Poor customer service

I am actually surprised to read all of these reviews about Valuebasket being slow in delivery.

I placed my order on 8 April 2013 and right after payment, I read that delivery will only happen within 5-7 days, which was weird for me because I saw from the website that it represented to be 3-5 business days.

Knowing that the camera will not arrive in time for me (I needed it on 12 April 2013 for a friend's bday present), I proceed to cancel my order. I send in the ticket and they replied me telling me that it is at verification stage and there is nothing that they can do but once it has been verified, they will proceed with the cancellation.

I checked on my order today and saw that the status is 'allocated and will be shipped'.

I was shocked because I specifically send them a request to cancel my order. Even veluebasket own website gave me instructions on how to do that and I followed. So I wrote to them again on this. The customer service officer even dared to reply me telling me that it has been upgraded to express delivery and cancellation could not be done anymore.

I was really unhappy and this goes to prove how bad their customer service is, They promised and said it will be cancelled but it did not happen. It even amazed me that there are so many reviews about delay in delivery. What an irony. I do not want them to deliver and yet they are trying their best to deliver it to me.

I hope anyone who is reading this will be extra careful when you decide to buy from valuebasket because if anything happens, their customer service is there but hey, they do nothing.
