I purchased a new bed online and chose my delivery date from the online scheduler. Only part of the delivery arrived and the delivery driver had no idea where the other part was. I tried to contact World Stores but due to an overwhelming demand the recorded message instructed me to email only. I emailed twice and never got a call back for 4 hours by which time they were unable to resolve the issue as they were unable to get in touch with the courier service they were using. I have now been waiting in for 3 hours on the following day and no sign of my missing part or contact from the company and I cant phone them as after sales is by email only. If I had read some of these reviews before I had ordered from them I would have gone somewhere else instead. I would certainly not recommend them!
UPDATE - Yesterday at 11.30 I got a phone call to say that the missing part would be delivered that day. It was delivered an hour later. I understand that mistakes happen, but it is the process of putting it right that is likely or unlikely to restore faith in the company and the possibility of purchasing from them in the future. As I was unable to contact them by phone I was completely frustrated as I did not know whether I had to stay in the house to await delivery that day. Having to email to report a problem and then having to wait over 4 hours to get a reply is not very efficient after sales service. I also had to cancel a very important hospital appointment the following day and rearrange as I had no one to accept the delivery for me. The person I initially had the phone call off told me they were unable to contact the courier they were using and could only do this by email. When I first visited the site I found it very impressive with a fantastic range of products and at competitve prices. I had even chosen some more furniture to order at a later date. The bed is now complete and I am very pleased with it, but the lack of after sales service has sadly put me off using this company again.
