Villa Plus

must try harder!

On arrival at the villa (3pm) it was obvious that it had not been serviced. We waited a while before making a phone call to the office. 20 minutes later a team of maids appeared. They were not in the villa very long and although towels and bedding was changed, I am not sure if anything else was cleaned, the pool had a scum line at water level that had presumably built up over the course of the season so far.. The same evening, we loaded the dishwasher and found that it did not work. I phoned the office the next morning (Sunday) reported the issue and later the same day we were visited by a rep who confirmed that it was not working and a replacement would be sourced. The dishwasher was installed within a recess but the replacement was twice as big, would not fit in the recess and was "installed" in the kitchen which gave us a gap of about 20cms between the corner of the washer and the corner of the sink unit - our exit to the pool area etc. Neither myself or my wife are large people but had we been, it would have been impossible to exit this door and as it was, we both got sick of squeezing through the gap. This was still the situation when we left a week later. The broken washer was removed outside. We visited the same villa in 2012 where we very much enjoyed our stay, this year however we were disappointed with the general standard, we will not be returning.
