Recently I had at least 3 attempted delivery outside of my knowledge because DPD staff failed to leave a calling card after visiting, and the items were eventually returned to senders.
DPD is the only company that consistently failed to enter the building and leave me a calling card when I am not at home. I had delivery from parcel force, royal mail, UPS, DHL, etc, etc, etc in the past but DPD is the ONLY one that failed to leave a calling card!
Therefore, for those delivering items into the London area (where there is an increasing number of new build) or if you know an address is a new build (which is quite easy to tell because the address typically comes with a flat number), please consider NOT TO USE DPD! Or it will probably cost you significantly more that other courrier out there because of additional redelivery.
Btw, for the tracking number I put in, it was delivered twice but no calling cards was left and I called customer service a few days later to check just to find out in shock that several delivery was made. I finally received the parcel by visiting the local depot. And I later returned the item to the sender due to damage. The sender later sent me another replacement which was expected to arrive earlier this week. Again I got no calling card and perhaps the sender bought a diff DPD service this time, I don't even have an email/text with a tracking number to track the parcel. I later called the sender and query about the delivery and they confirmed to me that the item was now returned to them from DPD. They are also considering charging me extra for a re-re-delivery.
I am trying to contact Amazon and ask them to blacklist DPD at least for London area or warn their vendors about using DPD to deliver goods to new build.
