Payed 1500 for a Samsung TV. Paid for delivery and set up. The guys screwed the base on and tuned it in and then left. No demo - not their area of expertise. Very complicated TV so a bit of a shock really. Couldn't get the Smart Hub to link with my wifi. 2 1/2 hours of phone calls later, Currys decided the TV was faulty. Said I would be rung the next day to exchange. No call - did I really expect to get one? 5 hours and four calls later to 0844 numbers at my own expense, I got a man who told me that it was up to me to make the 50 mile round trip to the store to get an exchange date. Was told that stores didn't phone customers and fix exchange dates as they would have to have their computer screens open in front of them and it was always done this way. He had never heard of a store doing it any other way, he said. I said no wonder Currys customer rating was so low and that I would never buy from them again.
Luckily on the next call - you cant call the store - I got someone with a brain, - a rarity it would seem in Currys, and he sorted the whole problem out. What ever they are paying him, it isn't enough. Sack the rest and clone him!
