Not happy!

I purchased two 'wowchers' for a hotel and flight deal to Madrid. In order to check availability I had to follow a link in the wowcher and wait for the travel company to ring me back, which apparently is redeeming the wowcher. When they did phone, they did not have availability for the dates I requested (despite these not being the dates excluded in the fine print) and offered me an alternative destination....POLAND!!!! I told them this was unacceptable and they offered me alternate flights and hotel in Madrid at lower standard and higher cost and far from the centre. I asked for a refund and was told that this was not possible. I contacted Wowcher and have been informed that I cannot speak to anyone about a refund and have to e-mail and wait 5 days for a reply. I am deeply unhappy with this situation which has taken all day to try and resolve. I would strongly recommend that people do NOT book a holiday in this way as although at first glance it appears cheaper it appears I now have to get my credit card company involved to force a refund.
