Like the previous reviewer I too have had a problem with Viagogo for the PSG vs Valenciennes game which was originally to be played on the 4/5. I am leaving Paris to return to the UK on the 5/5 so can not attend the game.
I too was not notified of any change of date and I was sent what seems to be a standard reply as below
"Thank you for your email regarding your transaction (ID 2831202) for PSG vs Valenciennes on 5/5/2013.
PSG vs Valenciennes was rescheduled from its original date. PSG has confirmed that tickets which have been purchased from viagogo remain valid for the newly scheduled date.
If you are unable to attend the event on the new date, it is unfortunately not possible to re-list your ticket(s) for sale on viagogo. Once the ticket order has been placed, viagogo is unable to cancel orders. All orders are non-exchangeable/non-refundable.
viagogo is an online ticket marketplace that enables people to buy and sell tickets to live events. We are not the event organisers, and whilst we try to keep up to date with all events and inform our customers should there be any changes, it is the customers responsibility to ensure they keep up to date with the scheduling of the event.
If you have any more questions please contact us using the link below.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
This does not match with the information on the Viagogo website which states as follows...................................
"In the unlikely event that an event is cancelled for which you have purchased tickets via viagogo the refund of tickets will be determined by the procedure adopted by the promoter or event organizer.
Our policy is to normally refund the monies that that you have paid in full. If you have already received your tickets we would ask for you to return the tickets to us. Once we have received them, we would then process the refund for you. If at the time the concert is cancelled you have not received your ticket then you need not do anything, we will refund you automatically.
If a concert that you have purchased tickets for is postponed to a different date, then you are of course free to use those tickets for the new date. If you are not able to make the rescheduled date, you are free to sell your tickets on via our website.
Remember it is free to list tickets for sale on our site. For more information on how to sell tickets please click here.
If anything like a cancellation or postponement occurs, we would of course contact you to give you full details of what happens next. Please note that we will not be liable for any travel or additional costs that you incur as a result of an event being cancelled and we recommend that you seek the appropriate insurance." - which can be found here ......... http://www.viagogo.co.uk/help.aspx?helpid=1002212
I am disappointed by the conflicting information on their website, and also by their reluctance to help when their is an issue. Clearly they have a querie and a stock email is sent out. The only reason I used Viagogo was because there was an official link from the PSG website.
On line ticket marketplace or not, I would hazzard a guess that Viagogo have still taken their fee for the sale.
I will not be using them again and I will be telling others to do the same.
