I paid booked for and paid for my hotel for a week stay in shanghai, everything was confirmed with the website, I arrived in shanghai at 1am in the rain only to find did not exist for a couple of months, my phone was dead so I found another hotel and called Agoda only to speak to someone from India that did not speak much english and told me off for not contacting the company before i got another hotel room, he was reluctant to refund me or pay out any compensation.
I checked the next day and I could still book a hotel room from that hotel
