You cannot rely on their next day delivery or their stock availability being accurate

This is quite a long review. Here is the summary of my recent experience:
* Their web site said that they had products in stock, available for next day delivery. This was not true. They were not in stock.
* I received an email on the day of the order at 4:30 PM saying that the order, excluding the item that was out of stock, was being dispatched that day. This was not true, it was not dispatched that day.
* I spoke to a person on the afternoon of the order, who was polite, apologetic and seemingly helpful. Who said that the order would go out the next day with a guaranteed delivery before 9 the day after. This was not true. It was not dispatched until the third day.

Longer version:
Last week we bought over £300 of equipment from GAK. That went fine. Ordered Tuesday 4:30 PM, in stock, next day delivery, arrived Thursday. This week, for a recording session on Wednesday, we needed a few more things: cables and adapters. I could have got them cheaper elsewhere, I could have driven to a nearby town to get them. But I didn't as they had what I needed listed on their website, in stock with next day delivery. So on Monday at 1 PM I placed the order for delivery on the Tuesday. Everything I ordered was listed as being in stock. At 4:30 PM I got an email saying that one of the items wasn't in stock, but that everything else was going to be sent out today. I contacted them by phone to get an in-stock alternative. I was then told on the phone that the order hadn't actually been dispatched. I considered just cancelling at that point, but the person I spoke to arranged to do a guaranteed delivery before 9 on the Wednesday. I let him know that if they didn't arrive before 9 on the Wednesday then there was no point in the order. Being a Monday I expected the dispatch of in-stock items on the Tuesday to be successful. Wednesday came, the musicians came, but no delivery. We managed to do the recording, but there were problems, difficulties and compromises due to the lack of this equipment. At shortly after 4 PM on the Wednesday I got an email telling me that the order had been dispatched. On the Thursday the equipment arrived.
