It was the worst experience I have ever had, I regularly hire cars all over Europe for Business purposes but it was the first time I had booked with you, and will certianly be the last!
I booked a opel corsa to pick up at Bradford airport on the 23/04 and drop off at GatwicK airport 26/04 but when i arrived at the Hertz desk at Bradford I was told there were no cars available and I should make a new request at another desk, with not onlyand enormous price difference but a loss of almost 1hour and 20mins.
But what made it worse was that nobody had mailed or text me to advise of such a problem so the supervisor of Hertz decided to "invent" the excuse of his email not working.
So I luckily managed to get a car from AVIS and do the business I had to do. But believe me I was totally shocked to go to to pick up my AVIS car and to turn to see that the Hertz dock had 9 cars including an opel corsa, which I took a photo of parked in Dock 82. So I returned to the Hertz desk and told the supervisor that I thought it was rather strange to see so many parked in their dock. He first feebly made the excuse that they were not their cars but another companies !! But when 3 men arrived to request a car , which he consulted his computer - amazingly now working !!! He found a car for them. He then tried to make up new excuses about the cars being finally Hertz cars but had been previously booked months ahead, I told him i was not informed that it was Hertz Policy to guarantee cars only months ahead.
I now look forward to receiviong a prompt refund and will take up this legally as I consider it to be very serious that you have accepted a booking and accepted the payment but then invent excuses when the customer arrives at the collection point.
I note I have previosuly and even now accepted your terms & conditions but maybe we coustomers should write up some for you!!!!!
