I was not impressed with the service from Comet online. I ordered christmas presents through the web site and there was a problem processing my card. I tried again with a different card which went through. I got 2 confirmation emails so I rang Comet on their expensive telephone line to check the orders. I was told that the first order had not been processed and the second one was fine. I had an email confirming delivery, I waited in all day but nothing came. Rang up Comet and this second order had been cancelled even though Comet had taken payment from my card. I was told that the nearest store that had my items was about 20 miles away and I could drive and pick up the goods but no, Comet was unable to deliver these goods to me as on line they were showing as out of stock.
Needless to say - I did not drive the 20 miles. I bought alternative presents elsewhere
Ordered boxes of coffee pods for my coffee maker. Delivery received today. Instead of 6 boxes of cappuchino pods at £2 each box I have been sent a substitute of 6 huge tins of decaf coffee powder totalling £125.94. Checked with my credit card and yes they have charged this amount through my card. Are they allowed to do this? I did not give permission for my card to be debited with such a large amount of money.
I also ordered other pods which wwhich did not arrive even though my confirmation email showed that all was in stock and was to arrive yesterday.
