Once your order is paid for then despatched via XDP - good luck to you. World Stores make it easy for you to pay but if you ever need to contact them you'll find this very difficult. There are at least three 08something numbers on their site. One of those numbers will say it is for after sales support but the phone system just tells you to send them an email.
Their delivery company, XDP, are hopeless and uncontactable.
Rubbish experience. I won't buy anything from worldstores again.
UPDATE 3rd May 7pm: Was contacted after this review and a woman from World Stores told me that my parcel would be delivered tonight and she will get the delivery company to contact me and let me know what time. "It's a bank holiday and they may be working late." She said. Well, no call from them and no parcel either. I suppose she's fallen for the same old run around that XPD have given me and lots of other customers too.
UPDATE 7th May: Item delivered today. Worldstores had left a message asking me to call them but I couldn't get a response on the phone. Noticed that the XDP site said the item was 'out for delivery' - that's a first! Makes it seem like the other two occasions it wasn't being delivered at all. Don't trust them - Worldstores have no idea how bad XDP are!
Delivery arranged twice with XDP and on both occasions it failed to arrive. I need to arrange it a third time but guess what? I can't get through on the phone. Any proactive company would call me first instead of waiting for me to get in touch. Their phone is constantly engaged because of the sheer number of people trying to get through, none of whom will get an answer because the phone just rings out.
I called their Bristol branch to speak to a person who gave me their head office number. Surprise, surprise all you get there is an automated response which cuts you off. Persistence pays though and another branch told me to call 01675 475754 where I got someone in customer services. Typically of such a useless company all that person can do is leave a message on someone's phone.
Absolutely, disgracefully, alarmingly useless.
