Optical Express

Less Than Perfect

The Treatment;; It does hurt. Especially the first 4 hours.
The Result; I chose their most expensive treatment, Lasik Wavefront Intralase. I had astigmatism, around 3 units in each eye. That's quite strong. It now stands at 1 unit in each eye, 7 weeks after the surgery. The optician I saw today said it may yet improve. If not I'm back to wearing glasses. The world is still a fuzzy place!
The Cost; Nearly £4000. My son gave me a voucher for £500. I forgot to present this at the time of payment. A few days later I asked at the Trafford Park Centre (where I had the surgery) how I could obtain my refund. They told me to write to head office. Weeks later I still had no response. Today, 7 weeks after the surgery I asked again at Trafford Park. This time it was a different story. "Their Terms and Conditions prevent them from giving refunds"
Not good enough Optical Express!
I see there are similar stories about lack of refunds with this company. Beware!
