The web-site was easy to use, with useful filters by colour, price etc, and covered a huge range of wallpapers. Then having found a possible choice it was easy to get a free sample sent to check the colour and that it was suitable. Calculating how many rolls is easy with the web-site calculator. The ordering and payment (by PayPal, amongst others) went smoothly. Finally the company supplied accurate information about delivery times - the package arrived 1 minute into the advised hour-slot! The well packaged wallpaper arrived in good condition. Can't think of anything more that needed to be done - except hanging the paper.
Wondered whether to believe the claims made about the AirRam vacuum cleaner, but really wanted something lighter than most cleaners. The last one we bought (Panasonic bagless) was supposed to be light but was a pain to haul upstairs. Eventually we took the plunge and have not regretted it. It IS light but it still collects as much dirt (possibly more) than previous cleaners. It is easy to empty and quick to charge. OK it does not have attachments for upholstery and stairs but we have an even lighter G-Tech cordless sweeper with detachable head and that works fine on the stairs. The deal from G-Tech was very good at just £10 more than other places but with a spare battery thrown in. The two batteries allow around four full cleanings of a 4-bedroom house. No complaints at all.
I purchased 4 ebooks online on 8 January and received an immediate confirmation email. But the download site had no link to download these latest purchases (all previous purchases were, however, still available for download). Emails went unanswered, except for the automated notification of receipt, for 5 days. Meanwhile I phoned and was told there was a technical problem because I had paid part of the amount using WHSmith giftcards (the online process said this was OK) and technicians were urgently addressing the issue. It is now 8 days since my purchase was confirmed and download is still unavailable. There seems to be no facility to cancel the order because the website treats the order as confirmed! They have my giftcard money and I have only frustration. Why invite the use of giftcards before the process has been properly debugged? Why not tell the customer immediately that there is a problem? Why not offer the alternative to cancel the order? Waterstones could tell them how to handle the whole process painlessly!
