I got some Tesco exchange vouchers for iwantoneofthose.com. Added some products to my cart (some of which were part of a multibuy offer). There was no place to add the voucher numbers during check out process. Went back and tried to add them into the 'discount code' box. Nothing. Tried to locate a phone number for these people. None available. Sent them an email with my phone number/email and stated that it was a time-sensitive giift, so I wanted the matter to be resolved quickly. After a 2-3 work days, got a write-off kind of response from some guy saying "you can only use one discount per purchase". Right. Voucher codes are not "discounts". They are money. According to Tesco customer service, if my order is for, say £40, and I have a £10 voucher code, I should be charged £30 for my order and that the codes are as good as money. Then was told by IWOOT that my products belong to excluded category. They don't. Sent them Tesco's terms and conditions. Got another write-off. Told them their customer service was horrible. Got a response along the lines of, "don't say that, give us a few days to try again". That was followed by an email 2 days later saying.... You guessed it. "You can only use one discount per purchase". It is not worth the bother. These people wouldn't know what customer service was if it hit them on the head.
While all of this was happening, I actually did place an order--against my better judgement--because they had 2 things a friend wanted as a gift. Both items were in stock. One of them arrived over the weekend, and the quality is horrible. The stitching is crooked, the pleather is pulling away from the block it's glued to--had to re-glue it myself. The second item wasn't in the package. Check 'my orders', and it hasn't even shipped--it's awaiting to be picked 6+ weeks later!! and then will be shipped in up to 5 days. Had I known it was going to be like this, I would've found the items on Amazon or Ebay and bought them elsewhere.
