Money for old rope

When invited to a hen do you go with the whatever is being organised and pay whatever it costs...To be honest I could have done a better job myself, Rooms booked as twins were doubles, cheerleading class in the centre of town which we had difficultly finding and then had to pay £6.60 x 2 to park. Apparently 2 Pizza Expresses in Oxford and taxi took us to the wrong one. When we did find it we realised it was in a pedestrian area of town miles from any bars and we had to ask directions to fins somewhere to get a drink! First bar we turned up to wouldn't let us in as he hadn't heard from Chilli Sauce and knew nothing about us.
I think that as you know you are sending people to places they know nothing about that a little more care and attention would go a long way!

Claire your feedback seems quite misleading in comparison to the actual events of the weekend as verified by our suppliers.

Firstly, the group were all originally booked in twins but the hotel contacted us to say they had overbooked their twin rooms and would your group mind if they were transferred to doubles. Our account manager contact your group leader who informed us 6 people in the group would not have a problem in sharing doubles in order to help out the hotel and the arrangements were made from there.

Secondly, most groups prefer to have their activity located in the city centre. If driving from outside the city centre and no free parking is available, occasionally paid parking is going to have to be used. It is our opinion that this should not get in the way of having an enjoyable time on a stag or hen weekend.

The group was provided with maps and exact addresses for all elements of the itinerary, we think it rather unreasonable to be blamed for the taxi driver taking you to the incorrect place. Regardless, the two Pizza Express restaurants in Oxford are 320m apart which is hardly a cause for concern should you have mixed up the venues. Also, the area is surrounded by other restaurants, pubs, bars and retail outlets (hence why it is pedestrianised) and so finding a venue to drink in should not have been an issue.

Finally, the Living Room Bar contacted us during the week to say they were not running guest list entry anymore. Your group leader was informed of this and the account manager advised that as a group of females, you shouldn’t have any issue in getting in there without the use of guest list for this particular weekend. What was not discussed or mentioned was that the group was going to be in fancy dress, in which case the account manager would have informed you that our Oxford nightlife venues do not accept fancy dress and to stick to pubs.

If you’d like to discuss the matter further please email
