I purchased a Cardo G9 intercom set, which initially did what it said on the tin. I then discovered it had a charging problem, so I phoned Global GPS LTD and they informed that they only offer a 28 day warranty period (cardo standard warranty 2 years) and that I would have to deal with the distributor. I pointed out the sale of goods act - The Sale of Goods Act lays down several conditions that all goods sold by a trader must meet.
The goods must be:
Of satisfactory quality
Fit for purpose
They said that they wouldn't do anything, so I dealt with the distributor and got a replacement. This set then failed - so a contacted Global again and asked for my money back, to which again they said I had to approach the distributor. This I did and they said I could only get my money back from the point of sale ie Global - which is right!
Result - No Money back and a faulty set - No comms!
