Aeg Electrolux

Try contacting AEG-Electrolux! Bet you can't!!

We bought an AEG fridge freezer just over 2 years ago. It looked great and I thought AEG were a reliable company.
It started to go wrong after a week with temperatures fluctuating everywhere.
After a couple of tries at fixing it the shop swapped it.
This one kept freezing up the water supply to the outlet in the door. They swapped the door.
Since then and upto 3 weeks ago everything was fine and it did its job. Then we spotted the wet carpet tiles and the swollen plinth under the adjacent kitchen unit.
It is producing water from somewhere. We turned the water supply to the unit off but that was a week ago and it is worse than ever.
I went onto the AEG website and contacted them via email. I am still awaiting a response. I have been trying to get through to their service and repair numbers 08444 810 464 and 08705 929 929 but all you get is asked to wait and wait and wait. I have spent 40 minutes on hold on 2 calls and have still not spoken to a soul.
It gives some idea of the unreliability of their goods when they don't have enough staff to keep up with the problems.

Yodel

Hopeless

Used Yodel twice and problems twice.
Most recently we waited in for a collection only to find a card thrown in the open porch door saying we were'nt in. That was news to us!
Will never use them again.

Bathroom City

Excellent customer service

After having a very, very bad experience trying to buy a bathroom suite from Better Bathrooms I was hesitant, to say the least, in going elsewhere especially to someone that wasn't local. I had no need to worry. The bath, shower screen and vanity unit arrived as advised and were very well protected.
It took me several weeks to get it fitted and complete but I have to say the bathroom equipment was excellent. However I had a problem with the bottom hinge on the screen. They sent a new screen straight away and followed up with calls to help me adjust the hinge which turned out to be a simple job. Thank you Sandeep and Alan for the excellent service. i can't recommend this company highly enough.

Rubbish

Yesterday I went to collect my new bathroom, it was ordered on the 6th May, through your Warrington showroom.
I arrived at the Leigh warehouse at 09.40 after a 22mile drive and reported in at the desk. I should add I rang customer services the day before to ensure it was ready for collection as a few emails left me slightly confused.
The lady on the desk checked me in on her computer and asked me to take a seat by the goods checking area doors.

At 10.40 and having watched other customers come and go with their goods I approached the desk again to enquire what was happening. A young chap advised me the Carina WC seat was out of stock so the picking of the order had stopped. I asked why I had not been advised but there was no satisfactory answer. I told him to cancel the seat and I would order it in a few weeks when I ordered the corner bath for delivery.

10.55 and one the lads from the goods inspection room called me through.

We checked the goods and found the WC cistern and the vanity unit base damaged. We loaded the rest into my car and he went to get replacements.
At the fourth attempt we found a cistern that was not marked so that went in the car. The second and the third vanity base units were marked and returned to the warehouse.

Whilst waiting for number 4 a chap was called in to take collection of a Carina WC seat. This baffled me? They were not in stock!

I went to the desk and asked what was happening. I was advised that it must have been an earlier order than mine, which I questioned given my order date but they advised they were still waiting for stuff from February orders!!!

Hmmm!!!

I returned to inspect 2 more vanity base units that were damaged. And then 2 more.

As you can understand by this time I was a little frustrated to say the least so I returned to the desk. A new chap with plenty of piercings had now appeared in addition to the original two. He asked if he could help and I asked him to cancel the vanity unit and basin from my order.

While he was typing it in I asked him how I would know when the WC seat was in stock. He checked my original order and advised they had 2 pallet loads so who had told me they had none.

That was it!

Tipping point reached!!!

I advised him I would take the WC seat but didn't want the shower screen for the corner bath either as I would not be purchasing anything from them again.

I unloaded the car of the shower screen and the vanity basin and returned to the desk. I had been there for over 3 hours.

I asked for a copy of the credit note for items I required money back on. He advised they didn't do that. The form would go to accounts and the money would be refunded in a few days or so. I advised I needed something. He advised he would send me an email and typed it out and showed it to me and I accepted but he must then have pressed delete because I received nothing.

My question is:

Would you deal with a company offering that sort of service ever again?

I really value your opinion and I am not being sarcastic.
