We ordered a cooker on the internet Stoves 550DF in BLACK, we received one in CHAMPAGNE. On phoning fires-cookers they told us it was out mistake and they would gladly change it for the correct colour but would charge us £50 and they also informed us that the 550DF was not available in BLACk despite it being advertised on the website! (Probably why we got one in CHAMPAGNE) We therefore chose another model 600DF in BLACK which we were told would be delivered on bank holiday monday. It arrived at 7.30am but was another 550DF in CHAMPAGNE. We waited until tuesday to ring and I spoke to the Sales Manager who was very sorry and said he would refund our £50.00 (which I am still waiting for) and make sure our correct cooker was sent by friday. I asked him if the driver could ring me at work an hour before delivery to save me having to take anymore time off and he agreed and I gave him my work number. On Friday I decided to cover all margins of error and also made sure my son was home all day. Lucky I did this as I had no phone call at work, they phone my home number and said they would be delivering my cooker in 20 minutes. What would have happened if my son had not been at home????????? I am please to say that we did get the correct cooker in BLACK, third time lucky. It would seem that I am going to have to wait just as long for my promised £50 refund. I feel the customer service is very poor and to ring this company is also time consuming as you are put on hold for a very long time.
