I have had to buy an item from them for my mother in law who was black listed by them for wanting to exchange a damaged coffe table. She had spent around a thousand pounds getting a full furniture set and when it arrived the coffe table was damaged. She requested that the table was replaced, the lady on the phone was very rude and told her that she could not have an exchange because the damage was repairable by their furniture repair subcontractors. The damage was a dented in panel and a very deep gouge.
The woman said she can have a refund but can never order the table again. I think this is blackmail to ensure people get what they are given. When I ordered the table I was getting in my car and a woman approached me and told me not to order from oak furniture land, she was having problems with getting a suitable replacement for her faulty chairs. Their products are very nice but you must be aware that you have basically no consumer rights.
My question to them is, if the damage is repairable then surely you can just repair it and sell it to someone else and save your reputation? I will tell as many people as I can about this, I hope your business suffers because of your actions.
