Prompt delivery of a microwave was hampered when it 'blew' on first use. The fan seemed to fail and the unit failed completly. Using email to report the issue I was pleased that a new unit would be sent out without question. I replied with date etc. After 4 days with no reply from 123 forthcoming I tried phoning 0845 33 77 000. After 3 attempts [3, 6 and 3 mins duration] and no response I rang a number from 'Say No to 0870' - The MD's office and left a message stating my lack of confidence in the phone No. and my details. Later that day I received a call from Customer Services to organise a replacement. They said this had nothing to do with my call to the MD's office. The replacement was delivered on time and thankfully the microwave was fine.
Diary of order.
23rd Jan Item ordered. 2 - 7 daysdelivery
29th Jan sent email 'Where's my order' as no update on web site.
31 Jan reply - Due to high demand Simply Electronics will check.
Due to concerns over time factors I emailed to cancel & refund!
1st Feb email reply stating item packed for distribution - order status updated on Web site.
3rd Feb - missed delivery by DPD - rescheduled for 4th. I had no notification.
4th email from SE stating item dispatched - AFTER attempted delivery.
Well packed item delivered by DPD.
Web site cannot be added to favourites. Why?
Emails are garbled with lots of < > etc.
Discovered after my order [My fault] Web site payment page is NOT SECURE. I paid by credit card.
Overall I was pleased with transaction but concerns by customers due to internet forum comments must be rectified by the company, especially the web site security.
