Ordered a couple of small items on 30 November. Money debited from account on 02 December. Nothing arrived. Chased it via the ridiculous e-mail only system. The e-mail's all had an automated reply with a telephone number that then diverted you to a high street branch. Staff there wanted nothing to do with it but were at least friendly. Eventually got a number for Customer Services who apologised that due to an IT problem the order had not been 'logged'. Don't worry they said it will come out to you in 7-10 days. Nothing came. I chased it again, they said oh dear the items are now out of stock!! This was now nearly 2 months after my CC had been debited. I asked for a full refund and an apology. They said OK. Nothing happened...I chased the refund again. This time they said they would 'look into' what happened. I got a message on my phone saying how sorry they were but they had refunded the money that day and that they had also been able to find the original items which they said they would send..in 7-10 days...nothing happened again. I finally talked to a supervisor who was unaware of the previous call but said the reason that my refund had not been done was due to another IT problem. He actioned the refund whilst I was on the phone..he seemed to find it all rather amusing. He asked me if I would like a £10 voucher. I said I did not as I never intended to use Habitat again. He spent some time trying to convince me to have the voucher 'even if you give it to a friend'. At this point I agreed. I did not want the voucher but on principle phoned Habitat today to tell them that I never received the voucher!!!!! The original supervisor said it took time but it had been done this morning - complete rubbish of course. The most awful customer service experience that I have ever had. Easily.
