Optical Express

I didn’t believe what they told me

Having gone through the consultation I was happy with everything that was explained to me. The consultant left me in no doubts as to what I was letting myself in for with intraocular lens replacement. However, having visited optical express's competition they informed me that after the operation they would supply me with pain killers because I may be in a lot of pain. I asked the Optical Express consultant about the pain involved and he said there was none. Immediately I disbelieved him because of the information I received from the competition and from then on all dealings I had with Optical Express, prior to the operation, I asked the same question regarding pain killers as I did not believe the consultant (trying to catch him out, couldn’t understand how there could be no pain from this operation). Every person I asked about the pain took the time to find an answer for me and each came back with the same answer “there is no pain” (still didn’t believe them). After having the operation I can confirm the consultant was correct there was absolutely no pain whatsoever. After the operation I went shopping on both occasions for the rest of the day without any problems or discomfort. The next day my vision was superb from then on. My recommendation is if you are thinking about this operation then stop procrastinating and go for it; it is well worth it. However, beware of what you see when you go for the operation as it isn’t like anything you will be expecting. It is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the operations are quick (conveyor belt, operation is about 20 minutes long) but the staff are very professional and know what they are doing.
