Booked a hotel in Chennai for 2 nights through Agoda. Their hotel voucher said "All the rooms are guaranteed on the day of arrival". After a tiring journey for a whole night, arrived at the hotel in the morning hoping to get a good shower. I was shocked to hear from the hotel that there were no rooms available. Immediately called Agoda, and they said they could give me a full refund. Who the hell cares about refund when you are standing in the middle of the street, with your luggage, without a place to check in. I have used a variety of online booking sites. Never had such issues before.
After the issue was escalated, Agoda contacted me and explained that it was in fact the error at the hotel's end. Agoda offered me some rewards points and credited one night's hotel charges to my account. I am now satisfied with their customer service. I guess I can give them another chance.
