Dealing with Autoglass really is as easy as ABC. My husband's windscreen was cracked on his journey home from work after a stray stone was kicked up into the windscreen by a lorry. The result? A 40cm diagonal crack across the passenger side of the van. I was then tasked with phoning for a windscreen replacement. On my husband's insurance policy there was a specific number to call which simply said Windscreen claims. It turned out to be Autoglass and the call was answered in less than a minute. I then spoke to a lovely lady called Jo who asked me for the vehicle registration and quickly found the vehicle on their system including the insurance details so I did not have to provide those details. The excess was processed quickly and over the phone. She was very apologetic that the windscreen was not in stock and that the earliest they could come out was in one day's time which was actually fine. She also explained whether the van could be driven safely with the crack and provided me information on safety glass so that I was reassured the windscreen would not shatter over my husband if he had to drive the van before the replacement was carried out. She was able to offer installation at home and a morning slot. She told me the name of the installer and gave me a 3 hr time slot. She also told me they would provide updates by email and the installer would call on the day of installation. True to her word the installer Steve called in the morning an told me the exact time he would be arriving. He arrived on time in a clean van, was polite and friendly and quickly got on with the job. He had given an estimated installation time of 120 minutes but managed the fit within a shorter period. He checked the van before installing to ensure there was no damage and also after the fit. He completed the paperwork quickly and explained the guarantee to me. My husband arrived home shortly after the installation and was very impressed with the replacement. The service was seamless from start to finish and I would have no hesitations in recommending Autoglass.
