I ordered a cricket bat online. The website said the bat was in stock and so I paid for delivery in a matter of days. Two weeks or so later I chased it up. I was told the bat was on its way. It didn't arrive. Further inquiries were fruitless because I was told the computers were down, but that they would get back to me; they didn't. So I tried again; this time I was told the bat was not in stock, but was being sent out the following day because by happy coincidence they just happened to have spoken to the supplier who told them my bat would be sent out. I didn't believe them and cancelled the order having been told my credit card would be refunded immediately. That was last week and there has been no refund to date.
