I ordered a Mountain Bike. After waiting for home delivery between 7:00-20:00, 13 hours, it never arrived. I couldn't call customer services as they close at 20:00.

The next day I contacted customer services who informed me that the delivery window is only an estimation and they are not obligated to deliver within it, and that to resolve the situation, the order will be out for redelivery between 7:00-20:00.

So, by the time that I had realised that the order definitely wasn't coming, customer services had closed. When I could contact them, I was told that they had no obligation to deliver when stated. And to resolve the situation, they will arrange for it to be delivered again, within another 13 hour window, which they have no obligation to actually meet.

The guy I spoke with was polite and clearly handled the call how he was supposed to. However, it was impossible for him to offer any reassurance. As a result of this I wanted some for of compensation for the amount of time I had wasted waiting (and the amount of time I could potentially waste waiting again), but was informed that this is not their policy. My delivery charge was free so they couldn't refund that, and they were not willing to offer anything else.

In conclusion; Argos' products are good value for money. But, their home delivery service is extremely poor.
