Recently returned from a week's holiday at the Atrium Hotel, Alonissos.
This is probably the best hotel we have stayed in during 30 years of travel around various Greek islands. The rooms were spacious and included air-conditioning and room safe as standard and the modern bathroom had a shower cubicle with power shower. Breakfast were extensive and included a cooked option.
Despite booking and paying for our holiday 6 weeks before departure the only documentation received from Love Holidays was a booking confirmation. After I emailed to check whether they had more documents/tickets for us they confirmed that we were to travel on the documents supplied.
This caused us serious problems at check in for both the outgoing and return flights as we had no tickets. We have traveled on e-tickets before but check in staff were told that passengers should have proper tickets. On check in at our hotel, staff expected us to hand over an accommodation voucher - without it we were told that the hotel could not claim their accommodation costs.
We arrived back in the UK after 9 hours of flight delays and when we got home found our travel/accommodations tickets had been posted out after we left.
Love Holidays have offered a £50 voucher towards a future holiday by way of compensation and say that this is the best they can do as we "haven't actually suffered any loss".
