Needs to be clearer that you need to send a copy of the prescription to receive the goods

I was waiting for my product to arrive before I checked to see that I actually needed to send the prescription to complete the order. I choose your website because it looked as if this wasn't required whereas it was clearer on other sites.
So I feel a bit misled even though it did state it on the order confirmation, it wasn't apparent to me before I placed the order.
I will persevere as my vet charged me £23 for a product you are charging £6 & P&P.
But I still feel a bit let down as I was on a high at the prospect of saving this amount easily.

Dear Huw

I am very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with our website.

As one of only a handful of websites in the UK to be accredited by the government to sell veterinary medicines online, it is very important that we communicate to our customers that we require the original hard copy prescription to be posted prior to dispatch.

Unfortunately it is illegal to purchase any veterinary licenced product in the UK without a prescription, and although there may be some questionable companies that may supply without a prescription it is very much advisable against using such companies as the product may be counterfeit and could potentially harm your animal.

We tried our hardest to communicate to our customers about our procedure in the following ways:

1. Our homepage has a large scrolling banner explaining the procedure in 3 easy steps.
2. We have a 'how to order page' which explains the procedure in more depth that can be viewed from any page on the website
3. We have a large red stamp on every product which requires a prescription
4. When you try to add any prescription product to your basket a pop up box with the following message appears: 'This product requires an original veterinary prescription posting to us before we can dispatch, Please do not add this product to your basket if you do not have or intend to get a veterinary prescription'. You must click on an 'ok' button to proceed to the basket.
5. Finally your email confirmation explains that any prescription item ordered requires the original prescription to be posted prior to delivery.

If you could provide us with any suggestions on how we could improve our communication about this process, we would be very much grateful in considering your feedback to improve the website.

Kind Regards
