Non-delivery on promised date, tracking info system useless

Was promised a delivery on 5th July by a mobile phone company and confirmed by email from DPD on 4th July. Waited in all day and NO DELIVERY.

During the day I tried to view the tracking information that came in the DPD email, which also promised that from the morning of the 5th July I could view my 1-hour delivery window, but the system only showed the original notification that they had received the order details, and nothing more.

It's the morning of the 8th July, and their system is still showing the same information.

Another company I ordered from uses DPD and I've received an email promising delivery today (8th July) - let's hope this one actually arrives but I'm not holding out much hope as I've also had a similar email from them promising that I can view the one-hour window from this morning, but there's no new information on that delivery either!

Time to get your house in order DPD!

UPDATE: 22:04pm, 8th July:
I've been in touch with the Sender (MobiCity UK) and with DPD customer services throughout the day via Twitter to try to sort this out. DPD staff told me that their system sends dispatch notices and estimated delivery times when the sender *prints out a postage label*..! This gives totally misleading information - I've lost Friday and today waiting in for this and another DPD-couriered parcel, both of which never arrived. MobiCity insist that the parcel has been dispatched to DPD, and therefore the ball is in DPD's court.

I'm sorry about this Steve. Having looked into this, the issue seems to be that we do not have the parcel yet. In such circumstances, I can only advise you to contact the sender to establish when the goods will be despatched.

You can contact me at if you need any information or assistance.

Kind regards,
