I am still in shock from the actions of your delivery driver. Yesterday he attempted to deliver two parcels but couldn’t find one in his van. He returned today with the missing package plus another. Despite being in the house at the time, the driver chose to deliver these packages – one a large picture, the other a large box (13in x 18in) - through a slightly ajar front window which he obviously pulled open from the outside. The window opens at the top, so ceiling height and the packages slid down the window, across my window ledge and crashed to the floor. Since I was in the house at the time - the driver did not ring the doorbell or use the door knocker - I ran through to see what had caused the loud crash and subsequently confronted the driver. He justified his actions by saying that if the packages had contained fragile goods it would have stated "fragile". I disagree with him that it's okay to post packages through an open window, regardless of whether they contain cushions or crystal but in any case my packages were made up of breakable items. He is also lucky he didn’t break my belongings which were on the window ledge or damage anything that would usually be underneath the window and out of sight.
Your driver however clearly thought it was no big deal, there was no fear of consequence for him and he was largely unperturbed. To give him some credit he did at least wait whilst I checked there were no obvious breakages. I don’t want him near my goods or property again and I will never buy from a company using Yodel again.
The website was easy to navigate and I found the text messages explaining the status of the order very useful so that I knew when my friends' delivery was due. My friend was extremely pleased with the quality of the flowers too,
