I honestly really like Maplin, got some great products and the staff are just ace! My only downside is that certain products are quite overpriced, even for a high street retailer. Some of their own branded products are brilliant value for money but a lot of the big brands are very expensive.
I recently visited the new store opening in Middlesbrough (on the grand opening day as well) looking for a decent quality multimeter to test electronics. The store assistant was very helpful and recommended me a product that was great value for money. Hey, he even recommended the £15 one over the £40 one, I've gained a lot of trust for my local Maplin now.
Fantastic service, some of my suppliers send stock to me with City-Link and I have to say I was very impressed. Fast service, easy to track, and my parcel arrived in good condition. I am yet to send a parcel with them but I would not hesitate when the opportunity arises.
Very friendly driver also! He even carried the parcel into the hallway for me, how pleasant.
Over the past month or so, a lot of stock I have been ordering has been delivered by Yodel. At first I was skeptical to allowing my suppliers to use the service as I had heard they had a bad reputation. But let's be completely honest, Parcel Force and Royal Mail have a bad reputation but we all still use them!
Anyway, all my parcels arrived on time, in good condition, tracking was accurate and easy to use, and the driver's were all friendly enough. On a previous occasion receiving parcels from Yodel however, I wasn't very impressed when a driver pulled up in a battered old Vauxhall, out of uniform, and using some "unprofessional" language shall we say. If it wasn't for the parcel tracking device labeled "Yodel" that I had to sign, I wouldn't have known he was even a proper courier.
I have bought from this site ever since I was 15, purchasing my first ever mixer of the Behringer Xenyx product line. Since then I purchased my first starter guitar just before my 16th birthday, I have upgraded since then but it was probably the best starter guitar I could have asked for. Delivery is always in good time, and dealt with in a very professional manner. G4M is one of my all time favorites!
Royal Mail's excellent service, fast delivery, and reasonable rates make them my all time favorite courier. Thanks to Royal Mail, I have been able to open my E-Commerce business to international trading, due to excellent overseas prices.
It will be a sad day should the privatization of Royal Mail go through, I will surely revise my review should the level of service decline (which I believe it will).

I have used Myhermes for nearly 2 months now for some of my orders, and have not had a single breakage. Initially I had some trouble booking my first parcel off (it had a strange address), however I contacted them via Facebook and left some contact details. I then received a call within 10 minutes and a very kind customer service representative talked me through the whole process. Keep up the good work!
I see a lot of very biased reviews of Parcel Force that have been based on little more than a one time bad experience. People are quick to complain but not to praise, so here's a review from a long time customer running an E-Commerce business.
Take a look at all the other couriers, City-Link, DHL, Fed-Ex (to name a few) and now compare their prices to Parcel Force.
Very few restrictions:
Hermes and Collect+ may have better rates, but when you look at size and weight restrictions there's a lot more breathing room with Parcel Force (and the heavier parcels cost a lot less than City-Link etc)
Based on my own negative experiences, I would have to say they perform fairly poorly in the complaints handling department, especially regarding compensation claims (they are slow to reply and you have to do a LOT of chasing things up). On top of that I have watched some very clumsy drivers collect parcels before (completely ignoring my "this side up" notice and flipping it upside down).
No courier is perfect, but if you have bulky parcels to send, be it for business or personal purpose, I strongly recommend getting a quote from Parcel Force first.
