Firstly, it is always advisable, as stated in the media coverage, that anyone with concerns about prostate health should be checked by their GP.

However, for those people taking omega 3 for general health, it is important to gain perspective on this research, which most experts believe has significant flaws. The conclusion is that there is no demonstration of cause and effect in this study, that almost all of the studies on omega 3 are positive and that the general public and healthcare professionals should bear in mind that Omega 3 fatty acids are an essential part of a balanced diet.
